Returning to Share the Gift of Music
Following the positive response from our previous performance, we were honored to be invited back to the Senior Citizen Center on January 10, 2025. This time, the occasion was even more special: we were there to celebrate the birthdays of three of the residents. It was a joy to bring music and happiness to their special day.
The Event
The performance went beautifully, and we were met with warm smiles and enthusiastic applause. But the most memorable moment came at the end, when a 91-year-old woman took to the piano and played a piece entirely from memory! She had only started learning piano at the age of 89. This unexpected performance was incredibly inspiring. I had often thought of myself as starting piano 'late' at the age of 10, but seeing her passion and dedication at 89 completely shifted my perspective. It was a powerful reminder that learning and growth are lifelong journeys, and that it's never too late to pursue your passions. It reinforced my own belief: Life is a constant journey of learning and evolving. So keep on going, Audrey!
