Spanish

Growing up in Houston, Texas, I was surrounded by a diverse community, and Spanish was a language I often heard spoken around me. However, I didn't understand it, and I found it frustrating not to be able to communicate with some of my neighbors. This curiosity, this desire to bridge that communication gap, became a strong motivator for me. I wanted to understand their stories, their experiences, and connect with them on a deeper level. Driven by this curiosity and a desire to understand, I downloaded Duolingo Spanish and started learning. It hasn't always been easy, but I've kept at it, studying every day. Each new word I learn, each phrase I can understand, feels like a small victory. I'm eager to continue learning and improving my fluency, so I can truly connect with the Spanish-speaking community around me.
